Identify the product
Include the item name or model, whether all parts are present and whether instructions are available. Say if it is new, partly assembled or being moved. These details help distinguish a straightforward assembly request from a repair or missing-parts problem.
Explain where it will go
Describe access and the intended location. For anything attached to a wall or structure, do not assume the fixing method or load capacity. The provider must assess the product instructions and the actual surface before agreeing the installation.
Decide what is included
Discuss moving packages, unpacking, assembly, positioning and disposal of packaging as separate tasks. Make clear whether you can provide access and whether another person is needed for handling.
Describe the project. This is a request for a possible independent-provider connection, not an installation booking.
Pick the more specific guide
Use furniture assembly for flat-pack furniture and product setup. Use TV mounting and shelving when the item needs to be attached to a wall. Some projects involve both, so include both assembly and attachment requirements in the same description.
A useful example request
“I have one new bookcase in two unopened boxes. The manufacturer instructions are available. It will go in an upstairs room, and I would like assembly, positioning and assessment of the required wall attachment included. Please identify anything excluded, including packaging removal.”
That example gives a provider a starting point without assuming the product, wall or access is suitable.
